Kala (Hassan), a mysterious man with a rifle, interrupts the Independence Day celebrations in the small town of Doulthapur. Soon he is caught up in the machinations of the Chairman (Rubel) as he attempts to overthrow the Thakur (Anam) and wrest control of the populace. As the man with the gun sells his services to both sides, he becomes a vital commodity in this small-scale war and gets ever closer to uncovering the truth about his past.
