The director of the joyful Orlando here directs and stars in a breathtaking dance movie set in Paris. Sally is writing a script for a film to be about beauty and the glamorization of death. For relaxation she starts tango lessons with star dancer Pablo, who eventually asks Sally to dance onstage with him after a split with his dancing partner. Potter delivers a perceptive insight into the nature of male-female relationships and the cultural differences between the characters.
