Access for donors, rights-holders and copyright owners

We manage access to film and TV material preserved in the BFI National Archive for the organisations or private individuals who donated those materials.

We also help with requests from commercial rights-holders and non-commercial organisations owning intellectual copyright of titles held in the collection.

Unfortunately we can not respond to requests for bespoke DVD copies for academic researchers or for individual contributors and their relatives.

Please contact us for information regarding archival material, detailing the purpose of your project and all intended uses. We will conduct the required technical research to inform you about the access workflow and applicable fees. We may also be able to offer advice with regards to copyright.
