What you’ll do on the course
- gain hands-on experience of cinematography’s art and craft and the department’s roles
- be taught by established industry professionals using industry-standard equipment
- learn camera and lighting through tailored masterclasses and technical workshops
- deepen your understanding of storytelling with a camera and how to gain employment in the industry
- have guest speakers talking about the role of camera assistants, spark/gaffer (lighting) and a leading rental house
- learn about the environmental impacts of cinematography and methods of sustainable practice
- get an introduction to colour grading and the DIT pipeline
- watch and discuss films
- experience filming with actors
