The Art of Costume Design: PC Williams in Conversation

We are delighted to welcome costume designer PC Williams, who will discuss their career with My Father’s Shadow director Akinola Davies Jr.

With a body of work spanning narrative filmmaking, advertising, fashion and music, PC Williams’ credits include the TV series We Are Lady Parts (2022 TV BAFTA, Best Costume Design) and films My Father’s Shadow and The End We Start From (both BIFA-nominated for Costume Design), as well as The Kitchen, Back to Black, Polite Society, The Roses and Dreamland.

Throughout this illustrated conversation, PC will guide us through the way a designer works with filmmakers, heads of department and their team. The discussion will also touch on designing costumes for different genres, locating the space for experimentation and the importance of encouraging new talent.
