In a career spanning over 30 years, Tessa Ross has played a key role in the UK film production landscape. Today she is a major figure in the industry. With her current company, House Productions, her credits include Oscar-winning director Edward Berger’s Conclave, Sebastián Lelio’s BAFTA-nominated The Wonder and an executive producer role on Jonathan Glazer’s Oscar-winning The Zone of Interest. In her prior role as Controller of Film and Drama at Channel 4, she played a key part in bringing about both critical and commercial hits such as Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire and Steve McQueen’s Hunger, Shame and 12 Years a Slave. The cultural impact of Tessa’s films goes well beyond the UK’s borders.
