LFF Expanded is the BFI London Film Festival’s strand for Immersive Art and Extended Realities (XR).

Established in 2020, LFF Expanded features artists and creative teams working in immersive media such as virtual, augmented or mixed reality. Using cinema as a jumping off point, our aim is to expand how audiences experience interactive storytelling and a rich variety of immersive art forms.

LFF Expanded is looking for innovative creators and teams from all over the globe working at the intersection of immersive storytelling, visual art and creative technology.

The festival programme will showcase approximately 20 new works from international creators, with a spotlight on UK talent. We are interested in work which is formally bold and inventive; which shows us the world in new ways and work which probes and challenges our perceptions of urgent political, social and/or cultural themes.

In partnership with the National Theatre (NT).

How to submit
