A prisoner in a concentration camp takes over the identity of a fellow prisoner who has died, and eventually moves to California and marries an American. The other woman's young son is already living there with her rich aunt. She finds her husband, who became the boy's guardian on the death of the aunt, is trying to kill her and the boy for the money that will come to him if they are both dead, but she succeeds in poisoning him.
