Synopsis

Documentary focusing on the case of John and Cathy Robinson, one of whose children has been removed by Cornwall County Council due to alleged physical abuse. Ends in the Council obtaining a care order. Includes interviews with Dr. Edmund James, head of the local panel on battered children; and Dorothy Watkins, Assistant Director Of Social Services, Cornwall Country Council. The programme also looks at the real life workings of the NSPCC Battered Child Research Unit's Nursery Project for 26 children in London, run by Ray Castle, who is inteviewed.
