Synopsis

A six-part investigation into the relationship between trade unions and the law. The format of the programmes is a commission ofinquiry, with evidence being tak en from a wide range of expert witnesses: politicians, businessmen, academics and leading trade unionists. The topics under discussion include the laws on picketing, the arguments for and aga inst secret ballots and the advisability of consultation between trade union leaders and the Prime Minister of the day
