Synopsis

Looks at four high-profile movements in modern architecure: Post-modernism as represented by Philip Johnson's AT&T building in New York, Graves' building in Oregon, Isozaki's Civic Centre in Japan, and the new Stuttgart Museum by James Stirling; High-Tech as represented by factories designed by Rogers and Foster; Modern Movement as shown by Richard Meier's Atlanta Museum; and lastly the Skyscraper now existing in a multitude of forms. Those involved in the debate are, Jame Stirling, Philip Johnson, Richard Rogers, Norman Foster, Richard Meier and Ada Louise Huxtable.
