DRAMA. A selfish father forces his daughter to choose between himself and her lover.

[George Forrester's beloved wife dies leaving him to bring up his 10-year-old daughter. The child becomes his housekeeper, while Forrester works at the pigeon farm. At the farm he meets a former lover and renews his attentions. He decides however, that the former lover is extravagant and not suited to becoming his daughter's second mother. He sends the child away to a good school to improve her prospects. Several years later the schoolgirl returns a young lady. She is shocked by her father's decrepit physical appearance brought on by long hours of work. She says she will never leave him. She meets a young man whom she wants to marry but her selfish father forces her to choose between him and her lover. She chooses the lover. He refuses to sanction the marriage or visit the couple. Two years later his daughter has a baby. She brings the baby to see its grandfather, hoping that it will cause him to soften and relent. It was as she hoped; her father holds the baby and is reconciled with his daughter].
