Synopsis

A film about Association Football; training of schoolboys; emphasis made of the fact that the majority of players come from schoolboys and workers in industry. Newsreels of various matches during the 1945 War Cup shown. In the Southern league: Crystal Palace v Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, West Ham v Chelsea at White Hart Lane, Millwall v Chelsea at Wembley for the final. In the Northern league: Halifax v Chesterfield at The Shay, Manchester City v Liverpool, Liverpool v Chesterfield, Chesterfield v Manchester United, Bolton v Manchester United in the final. The winners of the finals, Chelsea and Bolton, meet at Wembley. Bolton win and return home to a victory parade.
