A couple's addiction to drugs represented by 'elixir of life' search for escapism. Onscreen: 'This movie was made from 'short ends', which are bits of film left over after shooting a major feature film. Usually these 'short ends' are thrown out at the end of each shooting day. All the scenes were written around the amount of time we had on film, e.g. 90ft. equals one minute.'
