Synopsis

Debate from the Oxford University Union debating chamber, where five years ago there was a massive vote in favor of staying in the EEC. Now the motion "This house regrets that Britain said "Yes" to Europe" is debated again. The motion is proposed by Peter Shore, Shadow Foreign Secretary, and Alan Clark, M.P. for Plymouth, and opposed by Shirley Williams, former Education Minister, and Geoffrey Rippon, M.P. for Hexham.
