Synopsis

One of three programmes on twentieth century relics which were broadcast on BBC2 over Easter weekend 1994. A drama set against civil war in Peru, about a professional graverobber who finds the Punchao, a huge golden disc belonging to the Inca sun god Atahualpa, which was lost for some five hundred years. He sets off for Lima, where he hopes to sell his booty for a fortune, pursued by characters with a special interest in the shield.
