Synopsis

Centres around a live performance of Northumbrian songs by the British singers Thomas Allen and Sheila Armstrong with music composed and conducted by David Haslam, and performed by the Northumbria Concert Orchestra and Chorus. The songs are performed in Durham Cathedral are are intercut with scenes of the Northumbrian countyrside.
