Fantasy. The Babels are strange creatures who used to live in harmony with humans, until the humans built a giant tower with the purpose of defying God. God's revenge was to drive the Stone of Babel deep underground, divide humans into different societies by giving them different languages, and finally drive the Babels underground by making it impossible for them to stand direct light. Years have passed until it is the last day of 1999, a few hours before a lunar eclipse is to take place. Three Babels intent on protecting the Stone of Babel from the dangers of the eclipse lose a precious map which they need to retrieve to aid them in their plans; the map has been stolen by a dog belonging to Patrick, an advertising executive. The Babels join forces with Patrick's young son, David, to get the map back; meanwhile an unscrupulous media mogul, Nemrod, has his own plans to steal the stone for himself.
