Synopsis

A new version of a training video first issued in 1986. Demonstrates the rules of professional telephone behaviour as well as the correct use of answering machines and voicemail. John Cleese observes the assistant manager of a marketing department preparing a seminar on professional telephone use for her local business community. Unfortunately, her own telephone skills leave a deal to be desired. Provides advice on the "verbal handshake", the differences between face-to-face and telephone conversations, the importance of having facts and figures to hand and how to control calls.
