Synopsis

Documentary about writer Rudyard Kipling and the attempts by Mace Richards and student of Kipling, Liz Ameer, to trace or find out about Kipling's first and unpublished novel "Mother Maturin" set in Lahore. It looks at his relationship with India and the death of his son John Kipling during the First World War. It includes part of a BBC Radio broadcast given by Kipling in 1933 as well as archive film footage.
