- Light and Shade Working
Programme from a six-part series offering a practical insight into the oil painting process. Artists John Greenwood and Len Tabner explore different ways to study the play of light. Greenwood paints still-lives of imaginary objects in his studio using a fixed light source, while Tabner contends with the changing light and elements, working on a fishing boat to paint a picture of the Hebridean island of Staffa. Also considers the fascination with light of artists such as Masaccio, Turner and Monet.
