TGV (1997)

Film details

Comedy. A group of travellers are making the journey from Dakar in Senegal to Conakry in Guinea by TGV - a fast bus service connecting the two capitals. They are a mixed bunch which includes a minister and his wife, two white anthropologists, a Muslim marabout and other men and women. At the border, they run into a group of rebels - the Bassori who are fighting for the return of their tribal totem which rests in a European museum of ethnology. Happily, the encounter is resolved satisfactorily except for the two anthropologists who are left behind as hostages, and the passengers continue on their journey.
