Synopsis

Drama. The Sumo world wrestling championships are due to take place for the first time outside Japan, in a small town in Germany. A self-styled enterpreneur, Kalle, persuades Bruno, his overweight friend, to train as a Sumo wrestler, and hires the local owner of a sushi restaurant as trainer. Bruno is also helped by Anna, a fitness instructor, and her son, Timo. The training goes well until Bruno's new friends find themselves in trouble: Kalle is threatened by a loan shark and Anna and her son seek shelter in Bruno's home. Although Bruno begins to fall in love with Anna, he realises he has to overcome his shyness if he is to find happiness with her.
