Synopsis

Documentary. Deann Borshay Liem provides a personal account of her life growing up as a native of South Korea, adopted by white parents, and brought up in San Francisco. While reluctant to offend her adoptive parents, Liem is intent on tracing her Korean background. Due to a switch by orphanage officials, Liem was unaware that her real parents were actually still alive. The film follows Liem as she returns to her homeland to uncover details of her early life.
