A programme for the first level course S195. About the Human Genome Project and what the three billion letters of the human genetic code mean. Considers whether revelations from this so-called `book of life' will lead to a cure for cancer, or help us to understand what makes us human. Contributors include Sir John Sulston and sceptical geneticist Steve Jones.
