Explores the impact of the SARS virus, and reactions to it. Considers how the virus managed to avoid early control measures, attempts to discover a vaccine, and methods being used to stop its spread. Visits the Far East - Hong Kong, China and Singapore - and Canada and interviews members of the World Health Organisation team co-ordinating the global response to SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome).
