The seventh programme in the eight-part fourth series, following the work of environmental health officers employed by the London Borough of Haringey. Mike Cording and Gerry Bailey visit a flat where a man has lain dead for three months. No one has entered the flat since neighbours alerted the police to the smell and the body was found and removed. Signs of blood, maggots and rat droppings are still apparent as the EHOs sift through the dead man's belongings to discover if he has any relatives. Also features officer George Whordley as he tries to help a homeless man living under an arch.
