Synopsis

American author. Latest book, "The Klansman" a novel which incorporates real characters such as former Governor Wallace of Alabama. Huie believes there is much more violence to come on the race issue in the United States, and that the Ku Klux Klan is spreading to the North, the West and even to Great Britain. Admits that his own life is in danger, but has no intention of leaving Alabama where he lives. Under some pressure also admitted that the taking of his life might service more purpose in the cause of integration than do his books.
