Synopsis

In 2014, Glaswegian musician Aidan Moffat sets out on a tour of Scotland, performing his modern interpretations of Traditional Scottish folk songs. But when he meets 79-year-old Scottish Traditional singer and storyteller Sheila Stewart, she challenges his view that Scotland’s oldest folk ballads should be updated to reflect contemporary life in Scotland.
