Synopsis

In 1989, Barack Obama, an associate at a corporate law firm, arranges a date with his senior colleague, Michelle Robinson. Over the course of a summer’s day in Chicago, the pair attend a community meeting, visit an exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago and watch Spike Lee's film ‘Do the Right Thing’.
