Synopsis

Fantasy. In 1919, former circus star Holt Farrier returns to the big top but with one arm, having lost the other during the Great War. His wife has died of an influenza epidemic, leaving his children Milly and Joe orphans. Max Medici (formerly of the Medici Brothers circus) gives Holt work looking after the elephants. One elephant is removed for being unruly in the ring, and her young son, Jumbo Junior, unkindly nicknamed Dumbo, has ears so large that when he sneezes he slightly takes off. Indeed, Dumbo can fly using his ears as wings. A ruthless showbusiness entrepreneur, V.A. Vandevere, wants to see his girlfriend Colette Marchant ride Dumbo through the skies, and he lures Max into a partnership. Dumbo attempts to see his mother, and a trap is set up, but his friends in the circus, including Colette, help save the day.
