Living Pictures: Victorians on Film

Our first event launches on 9 November 2026 with a three-day study experience exploring the late Victorian age.

Films from the BFI’s Victorian collection will be discussed alongside photographs and other objects from the V&A’s collections, exploring what these materials can reveal about each other and the society that created them.

Sessions will be led by Bryony Dixon, Curator of Silent Film at the BFI National Archive, and Mike Berlin, V&A Academy Year Course Director.
