10:30am to 2:30pm, 21 June, in-venue at BFI Southbank

What stages do films go through from the first idea to the final screening? Join us on a step-by-step journey from a film’s conception, through storyboarding, filming and editing to its release and distribution. Using selected film clips and through interactive activities, we will explore each stage of film-making while discussing genre, comprehension of what we see and hear on screen and how trailers persuade audiences to watch a film. Drama activities will allow pupils to act as the cast and film crew and make their own live sound effects!
