Rocks (2019)

Date: 4 March 2026
Time: 11am to 12:30pm
Location: Online via Zoom

Event details

This online event offers an interactive analysis of the film where we will discuss the importance of the ‘loose’ documentary style of cinematography as well as unpack social, cultural and political contexts of Sarah Gavron’s BAFTA award-winning Rocks (2019).

The event also features a live Q&A with the unique chance to ask members of the cast and/or crew questions about the film, and their approaches to making it.

The learning activities are clip-based and varied, designed to pique interest and engage students. The ideal session to prepare students for key sequence analysis and further their understanding of the aesthetics of Rocks.
