Creative literacy through film for KS2

Through film, we will explore character, narrative and comprehension as we take a creative approach to literacy.

The Penguin Who Couldn't Swim (2018)

10:30am to 12:30pm, 7 June, in-venue at BFI Southbank

Film can be a powerful, highly engaging tool to help improve children’s reading and writing. It can also be used to develop a range of literacy abilities- decoding, inference and analysis- as well as expanding creativity and improving vocabulary. This event takes pupils through interactive activities engaging with short films to develop their literacy, comprehension and creativity.
