Diary of a Wimpy Kids (2021)

Date: 11 November 2025
Time: 10:30am to 12:30pm
Location: BFI Southbank

Event details

Supporting this year’s Anti-Bullying Week’s theme, ‘Power for Good’, this PSHE event asks pupils to recognise and use their power to help stop bullying, choose to respect each other and to celebrate when their peers have chosen to be kind and respectful. It an ideal way to consolidate pupils’ PSHE learning during Anti-Bullying Week.

In this event we take pupils through a series of short film clips from films such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2021), Wonder (2017) and Zootropolis (2016) to engage in discussion about what makes us unique and why we should be caring and respectful of each other. We will explore the different types of bullying and ways in which we can support each other.

We will encourage pupils to consider how they can be ‘upstanders’ rather than bystanders, noticing and flagging up unwanted behaviours in themselves and others to ensure that they lead with kindness. It is always a very uplifting, heart-warming study day leaving pupils feeling positive about their own power to support each other.
