Gender theory for KS5 Films and Media studies

11am to 12pm, 7 March 2024, online via Zoom

Join us for an hour long online event packed with clips, interactivity and information to inspire your students. Butler and hooks are required reading for the AQA, Eduqas and OCR specifications, and the purpose of this online event is to provide KS5 Film and Media students with an introduction to gender theory and in particular the work of Judith Butler and bell hooks, with a focus on patriarchy, gender performativity and intersectional feminism.

Throughout the presentation students will be asked to contribute their thoughts and opinions via the chat box function in Zoom. The learning activities are clip based and varied, designed to pique interest and engage students.
