Please Vote For Me and Not One Less: an exploration of schools, family, and modern China for A Level Mandarin

This brand new event aimed at students of Mandarin at AS and A2 Level and will take the films Please Vote for Me (Weijun Chen, 2007) and Not One Less (Zhang Yimou, 1999) as its focus. 

This clip-based study day will offer deep focus of key scenes from both films to address aspects of the films specific to the A Level curriculum, exploring related themes around schools, society, and modern China. The presentation will give students film analysis tools as well as strategies on how to approach film texts in general for KS5 Mandarin. 

This event will be conducted in both English and Mandarin and followed by a screening of either Not One Less or Please Vote For Me, decided by teacher poll.
