10:30am to 3pm, 4 May 2023, BFI Southbank
Developed for KS3 History, this event uses a wealth of film from the BFI Archive that represents the experiences of Black British people. Presented by historian and ex-teacher Hannah Cusworth, the session will use a curriculum relevant enquirey to explore the BFI Archive and illustate how it can be used to explore lived experience in 20th-century Britain and stories of migration.
In the afternoon we will be joined by a guest speaker for an insightful interview and Q&A.
Booking information
- £10 per student. Accompanying teachers / adults are charged £1 per 5 students – otherwise student rate applies.
- £40 for teachers attending without students.

- Schools which have over 20% of students receiving free school meals should ask about a discount when booking.
- Please book by 12pm the day before the event.
