Co-production Workshop 2024 - Cardiff, Wales

Thursday 20 to Friday 21 June 2024

The UK Global Screen Fund is hosting a participatory two-day programme for UK-based feature film and TV producers interested in international co-production. The Co-production Workshop will take place in central Cardiff on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 June 2024, and will consist of panels, talks, and workshops on co-production with a range of both UK-based and international experts and producers. International Business Development – Strategy days

Thursday 16 November to Friday 17 November 2023

The UK Global Screen Fund are running International Business Development strategy days in-person at the University of South Wales in central Cardiff. This event will consist of panels, talks and workshops focusing on building a successful international growth strategy for the development of UK screen content businesses with the goal of increased revenue generation and international expansion.

UKGSF International Distribution - informational webinar

1pm to 2pm, Wednesday 16 August 2023

Join the UK Global Screen Fund team to hear more about the application process, eligibility criteria and assessment for all three of the International Distribution funding strands: Film Sales Support, Festival Launch Support, and Prints and Advertising (P&A) Support.

All funding strands within International Distribution are currently open for applications, which are assessed on a rolling basis.

Meet the UK Global Screen Fund - Co-producing with the UK

The UK Global Screen Fund hosted a panel discussion about how to finance your international co-production at the UK Pavilion during Cannes Film Festival. UKGSF Head of Fund, Denitsa Yordanova, moderated a discussion between the producers behind recent UKGSF-supported international co-productions, The Settlers (Emily Morgan, Producer Quiddity Films and Benjamin Domenech, Producer Rei Cine) and Badjelly (Andrew Baker, CEO Cantilever Media and Carthew Neal, Producer, Badjelly NZ).

BFI International - town hall meeting

11am to 12:30pm, Tuesday 10 January 2023

A BFI International town hall meeting took place on Tuesday 10 January, led by Neil Peplow, outgoing Director of Industry and International Affairs, and Denitsa Yordanova, Head of UK Global Screen Fund. The meeting was open to all industry and offered an update on the BFI’s international strategy, including the new BFI National Lottery International Connection Fund and the We Are UK Film campaign support, together with the latest news from the UK Global Screen Fund, including awards and activity to date, plus a look ahead to what’s next across each of the UKGSF’s three open access strands.
