Working with broadcasters, DVD distributors, new media, online and educational platforms, BFI holds and manages the UK and international rights to 600+ shorts, feature and documentary films that it has supported and represents some of the best independent and arthouse British cinema across the ages.

The catalogue includes gems by Peter Greenaway, Derek Jarman, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Terence Davies, Bill Douglas, Jane Campion, Alex Cox and Stephen Frears, as well as major restorations from the BFI National Archive with new scores.

BFI has also been entrusted with managing the film and archive collections of some major British institutions including British Screen, British Council, the Art Council of England, the British Transport and General Post Office, all of which are available for individual or package licences.

In the UK, BFI Distribution catalogue also includes a selection of the best international cinema, including titles by Akira Kurosawa, Jean Renoir, Ingmar Bergman, Carl T. Dreyer and Pier Paolo Pasolini, as well as a selection of current features and documentaries.
