BFI Film Academy Specialist courses are now open for application – apply now for summer 2021.
Designed to develop more specialist filmmaking skills, this year our Specialist courses will be delivered as an intensive week or over a set number of weekends. You’ll work closely with leading industry professionals who will give you a unique insight into the filmmaking business and guide you along the way.
Specialist courses are a great, one-off opportunity to help you into the film industry.
Open Call for applications for partners to delivery BFI Film Academy courses
BFI Film Academy works with local delivery partners across the UK and we are now looking for new partners to deliver the following:
BFI Film Academy Specialist course – Art Department will be an intensive week long programme which will support the development of the skills required to work in different areas of the Art Department for 16–19 year olds.
The course will focus on developing participants’ skills and knowledge of the art department from script to screen, with leading industry professionals delivering masterclasses and training. There will also be an element of career coaching and personal development built into the course. The successful applicant will be expected to plan, design and implement the course over a period of 7 to 9 days during February half-term 2022.
These guidelines are for organisations that wish to make an application to deliver for BFI Film Academy scheme during the 2021-22 school year.
