What are the boundaries of creativity and who is supposed to set them? Our panel of international artists, curators and producers, all working in the immersive space, will discuss the critical relationship between artistic freedom and market requirements.
While immersive art encompasses a diverse range of formats – from single-user projects with VR headsets to large-scale installations simultaneously experienced by hundreds of visitors – venues and festival curators do not have the capacity to accommodate all project requests. Beyond technical and logistical constraints, artists and exhibitors may even disagree on what audiences want.
