BFI Insight Exchange: 2030 Vision

In February 2020, the BFI RSU team asked a group of top thinkers and analysts whether they could predict what 2030 might look like for the moving image, audiences and the broader screen sector. Their findings and views were explored in the BFI’s second Insight Exchange forum.

Presentations included an early look at findings from the BFI’s own horizon scanning study with Ipsos MORI, GfK’s research on how film consumption is changing in a multi-screen world, plus five-minute Insight Shorts talks on the future of the UK box office, how film festivals generate cultural impact and the future of digital storytelling.

You can listen to audio recordings of all the presentations below and view or download their accompanying PowerPoint presentations as a PDF.
