Max Richter’s scores for Waltz with Bashir, Black Mirror, Ad Astra and many other films have helped to make him one of our leading contemporary composers. Max and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Yulia Mahr join Mark Kermode to talk about their collaborations on Sleep and their new project ‘Voices’, an artistic response to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the human potential for compassion in today’s difficult times. With the album now released, Max and Yulia talk about this extraordinary collaboration, which will ultimately lead to a full audio visual project.

County Lines writer-director Henry Blake and actors Conrad Khan and Ashley Madekwe talk to Variety and Observer critic Guy Lodge about the making of the film, and some of the real stories that inspired the powerful and moving coming-of-age drama. 

County Lines recounts the experiences of Tyler, a 14-year-old boy who is groomed into a ‘county lines’ criminal network. Released by BFI Distribution, County Lines plays at BFI Southbank and selected cinemas UK-wide from 4 December.
