I decided to include only films from Latin America because it was a region underrepresented in previous surveys. Also, to draw attention to some wonderful films that are not well known enough outside their own countries. And even unknown or forgotten in our own countries. If some readers discover or rediscover some of the films on this list, some justice will have been done.
