You caught me right in time, when I have no time to write long pieces, so I'll just quickly comment my latter entries, namely – Blade Runner, Goodfellas, No Country for Old Men and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Why Blade Runner: it was shot when neoliberalism was coming and it perfectly showed where neoliberalism will take us. Why Goodfellas: this is the only musical on my list, but with reason – this is the best musical ever. Why No Country for Old Men: brothers show how easy is to make the greatest film in the world – they're doing it constantly, from film to film. Like Orson Welles did it in Citizen Kane – from scene to scene. Why Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: Rick Dalton is true Charles Foster Kane. And Tarantino's film is Citizen Kane for times when all is said and done.
