In returning to submit a list for this poll, it dawned on me that this is essentially a heuristic exercise.
The first five films are hold overs from the list I submitted in 2012.
The second group of five I have encountered in the last ten years - newly restored, part of curated programmes, stumbled across during research, recommendations made by friends.
Having made these acquaintances since 2012, what I can confirm is that the greatest films of all time are still waiting to be discovered.
