Part of BFI Flare, the BFI’s LGBTQ+ festival, Rise was a series of events held to enable dicussion about representation of people of colour in LGBTQ+ cinema. Chaired by director Jenn Nkiru, this discussion with writer-directors Blain Ho-Shing and Dior Clarke, writer Iman Qureshi and producer Rachelle Constant focused on how to shape a film narrative out of personal experience.
