At the festival awards night, Christopher Lee receives a treasured BFI Fellowship. Pawel Pawlikowski wins Best Film for Ida, Ilo Ilo directed by Anthony Chen is named Best First Feature, and Paul-Julien Robert’s My Fathers, My Mother and Me wins the Documentary Competition. Jonathan Asser is named Best British Newcomer for his screenplay for prison drama Starred Up.
